Amnesty International welcomes the opportunity to provide written input pertaining to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights’ report on the rights of the child and violations of the human rights of children in armed conflicts, to be presented at the 60th session of the Human Rights Council in the fall of 2025. Amnesty International has documented violations and abuses of the rights of children in situations of armed conflict and other violence, including war crimes and crimes against humanity in, for example, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iraq, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Myanmar, Niger, Nigeria, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine and Yemen.
