This submission was prepared for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Papua New Guinea (PNG) in November 2026. In it, Amnesty International evaluates the implementation of recommendations made to PNG in its previous review, including in relation to women’s rights, discrimination and the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. In spite of accepting most of the recommendations at the last review, many have not been acted upon.
