As a result of impressive youth advocacy efforts led by World Youth for Climate Justice and supported by Amnesty Nepal,
the Nepalese government presented a written submission to the International Court of Justice in March 2024. This submission, regarding “[International Legal] Obligations of States with Respect to Climate Change”, will inform the court’s decision on States’ obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to
provide reparations to states affected by climate change.
