Trapped in Greece: refugees stranded in dire conditions as Europe drags its heels

Around 48,000 refugees and migrants are still stranded in mainland Greece, many of them in terrible conditions in state-run camps, as borders across Europe remain closed to them. Thousands of men, women and children are facing a very uncertain future with very little information available to them, as they languish in limbo.

Amnesty International recently returned to Greece to visit some of the camps and document some of their stories.
