This report documents labour abuse and exploitation in Carrefour’s franchised facilities in Saudi Arabia. It find that migrant workers employed by labour supply companies and put to work in Carrefour stores were overworked and underpaid, made to live in squalor, and were terrified of speaking up. Having failed to take action to prevent the abuses, the French supermarket giant now has a responsibility to ensure remediation to all affected workers.
