Two years ago in June 2010 four days of violence between ethnic Kyrgyz and ethnic Uzbeks in Osh and Jalal-Abad left hundreds dead, thousands injured and hundreds of thousands displaced. The Kyrgyzstani authorities have failed in their duty to fairly and effectively investigate the June 2010 violence and its aftermath. This report shows that it is becoming ever more essential that the a system of specialist independent, unbiased investigations is set in place as soon as possible to provide justice and combat impunity.
