This submission was prepared for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Thailand in November 2026. In it, Amnesty International evaluates the implementation of recommendations made to Thailand in its previous UPR. In this submission, Amnesty International assesses the national human rights framework in Thailand and the continued restriction of the rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, the situation of human rights defenders, impunity, enforced disappearances, refugees’ rights and Indigenous Peoples’ rights.
