Amnesty International evaluates the implementation of recommendations made to Mexico in its previous Universal Periodic Review (UPR), provides input for the UPR that Mexico will undergo in 2018. Topics cover by the submission include public security, the criminal justice system, torture and ill-treatment, enforced disappearances, and human rights defenders and journalists. The organization concludes that despite some progress, most of the recommendations assessed have still to be fully implemented.
