Kosovo (Serbia): Justice for Petrija Piljević [Case card on enforced disappearances and abductions]

After the war ended in Kosovo in June 1999, the majority of Kosovo Serbs left, but some like Petrija Piljević stayed on. At the end of June three men wearing Kosovo Liberation Army uniforms took Petrija Piljević from her flat. She was not seen alive again. The European Union-led Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) has taken over responsibility from UNMIK for the investigation and prosecution of war crimes. This case card asks EULEX for information about progress since 2003 in the criminal investigation into the abduction and killing of Petrija Piljević.
