Greece: The end of the road for refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants

Due to its position, Greece remains one of the main entry points for refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants seeking to enter the EU. The burden on Greece is great and, given the current economic crisis, increasingly difficult for it to deal with alone. Greece clearly needs support from the EU. However, this cannot excuse the impediments that deny people their rights, the xenophobic rhetoric, or the racist attacks. It is time that Greece and the EU act to put an end to the violations of the rights of asylum-seekers and migrants.
