There is concern at the continuing imprisonment of 12 medical professionals serving sentences of between three and five years, some with hard labour. They appear to have been imprisoned solely for their membership of the Muslim Brothers organization. There is no suggestion that they have committed any recognizable crime. Amnesty International regards them as prisoners of conscience and is urging their release.
