Russia: Schoolteacher faces 10 years in prison for telling students about a strike on a Ukrainian hospital

A schoolteacher of English from Penza (a city approximately 600 km south-east of Moscow), Irina Gen, has been charged with “disseminating false information” about the Russian Armed Forces, a crime punishable by up to 10 years’ imprisonment, after a pupil recorded comments she made about the war in Ukraine and reported her to the authorities.
