Gertrude Riziki (f), Chantal Hakizimana (f), and five other women: There is concern for the safety of seven women arbitrarily arrested on 14 March 1997 by members of the armed forces. They have reportedly been taken to a secret detention centre in Kamenge district of Bujumbura, and there is concern they may be at risk of torture or “disappearance”.
