The government proposed a motion in the national assembly to reintroduce cybercrime legislation, which threatens to undermine the right to freedom of expression, and to expand enforcement powers. The right to privacy was violated. There were suspicious deaths in custody. Women continued to face discrimination. An overnight curfew imposed during May threatened livelihoods.
