Amnesty International submits this briefing to the United Nations (UN) Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in advance of the review of the eighth and ninth combined periodic reports of Sweden from 15 February to 4 March 2016. In this submission, Amnesty International sets out its concerns about the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (the Convention) by Sweden in relation to violence against women and girls.
