Amnesty International welcomes attempts by the government of Nigeria to meet its obligations under the Constitution of Nigeria and international law to investigate, prosecute and punish all crimes under international law and other serious violations of human rights law, whether committed by Boko Haram or the Nigerian military and the civilian joint task force. We will continue to cooperate to the best of our abilities to assist the government of Nigeria in meeting its obligations to do so.
