Pakistan must end crackdown on Baloch human rights defenders

Amnesty International, along with four other human rights organizations, calls for an end to the harassment and arbitrary detention of Baloch human rights defenders (HRDs) exercising their rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan province. All organizations appeal to Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, to release Baloch human rights defenders and end the crackdown on dissent, as it runs afoul of Pakistan’s international human rights obligations.
