On 20 November 2002, Gul Rahman died in a secret detention facility in Afghanistan operated by the USA’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Thirteen years later, no-one has been brought to justice for his enforced disappearance, torture and death. To add yet more insult to injury, to this day Gul Rahman’s family has never officially been informed of his death by the US authorities and his body has still not been returned to them for burial.
