Charles Kuria Wamwere, former political prisoner; GG Njuguna Ngengi, councillor for Molo, farmer: On 13 January 1997, the above named prisoners of conscience were released on bail pending appeal and with a restriction regarding communication with the press. They are now in hospital receiving treatment.
