Iraq: Human Rights Committee Briefing
This document highlights some of the flagrant human rights violations, which have continued unabated in Iraq in the past six years since Iraq submitted its third periodic report to the Human Rights Committee. It shows that the Iraqi Government has sanctioned mass killings, torture and other atrocities as a matter of policy, and violated its obligations inter alia under Articles 6,7, 9 and 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
