Prisoner of conscience Edward Terso Lado was released on 29 March. He had been arrested at the office of the Khartoum Monitor newspaper by members of the security forces on 11 March. Following an appeal by the newspaper editor to the head of the security forces, Edward Terso Lado was released on the condition that he would be reprimanded by the newspaper, which consequently suspended him for 15 days without pay.
