Turkey: Fear of torture / medical concern: Ahmet Duzgun Yuksel, Sabahat Varol (f)
Ahmet Duzgun Yuksel, a member of Istanbul Bar Association, and Sabahat Varol, journalist on Devrimci Genclik magazine, are being held in Istanbul Police headquarters, where AI fears they may be facing torture in incommunicado detention. There is further concern for Ahmet Duzgun Yuksel's well being, as he suffers from tubercolosis and needs frequent medical treatment.
