Amnesty International welcomes the call by the UN Special Rapporteur on the implications for human rights of the environmentally sound management and disposal of hazardous substances and wastes (Special Rapporteur on Toxics and Human Rights) ahead of the report on gender and toxics. In this document, Amnesty International provides information on three case studies for consideration, based on research into human rights abuses linked to the fossil fuel and chemical industries in the USA, India and Nigeria.
