Summit of the Americas: Our Call for Human Rights: A message from Amnesty International members in advance of the Fourth Summit of the Americas
In this document Amnesty International members in the Americas ask their leaders to make this a Summit which marks the beginning of a new era for human rights in this hemisphere. Much needs to be done, including real progress in areas detailed in the document such as: strengthening the Inter-American human rights system; protecting the rights of women; migration and displacement; human rights defenders; fighting poverty; protecting the rights of indigenous peoples.
