Saudi Arabia: Women’s Rights Action 2000: A Woman Migrant Worker Sentence to Death

This appeal, produced as part of the Women’s Rights Action 2000, looks at the case of Sarah Jane Dematera who was arrested in 1992 for the murder of her employer in Saudi Arabia. She has had no access to legal assistance in that time and will remain in prison until the eldest relative of the murder victim reaches the age of 18 and can decide whether the original sentence of death should be carried out.
