Saudi Arabia: Further information on UA 299/06 – Fear of Imminent Execution/Prison Conditions/Medical Concern

There has been an alarming increase in the number of executions in Saudi Arabia since the beginning of 2008. At least 20 people, including three women, have been executed for murder, armed burglary and drug related offences during the last three weeks. Hadi Sa’eed Al-Muteef, Suliamon Olyfemi, Siti Zainab Binti Duhri Rupa, Ahmed al-Bahrani and an unknown number of others may be at risk of imminent execution.
