Liu Yawen, aged 56, Falun Gong practitioner, a member of the banned Falun Gong spiritual movement, was reportedly detained on 31 March. She is being held incommunicado and interrogated at the Xuanwu District Detention Centre in Beijing, and is at risk of torture or ill-treatment. She appears to be prisoner of conscience, detained solely for the peaceful expression of her beliefs.
