Amnesty International's "Human Rights manifesto" is directed to all candidates in the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Togo. Amnesty International calls on all political parties to publicly commit themselves to ensure freedom of expression and association; to prevent extrajudicial executions; to end torture and ill-treatment; and to improve prison conditions.
