Indonesia: Time to face the past: Justice for past abuses in Indonesia’s Aceh province: Executive summary
This is the summary of a report in which Amnesty International concluded that, seven years after a historic peace agreement was signed, the central government and authorities in Aceh have failed to implement provisions contained in the peace agreement pertaining to truth and justice. It is time for them to respond to demands from victims and their families and ensure that effective measures are taken to secure victims’ rights to truth, justice and reparation.
