Amnesty International is presenting this briefing to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in connection with the Committee’s forthcoming consideration of the fifth and sixth periodic reports submitted by the Plurinational State of Bolivia under Article 18 of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. The Committee’s review of Bolivia’s periodic reports in July 2015 provides an opportunity to assess the progress made by Bolivia in implementing the provisions of the Convention, both in law and in practice, since the previous review in 2008.
