Bosnia-Herzegovina: Police fail to protect returnees, between 1 and 3 August 1997 Bosnian Croat residents rioted against several hundred Bosnian Muslims who had recently returned to their homes; 3. Nigeria: Prisoners of conscience, Olusegum Obasanjo, retired General and Nigerian Head of State from 1976 to 1979, and his deputy Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, retired Major-General.
