Tunisia: Further information on "disappearance" / fear of torture / prisoners of conscience

Ahmed Berramila, Rachid Ennajar, Monji Souab, Jilani Hammami: Ahmed Berramila was released on bail on 12 May 1997. The others remain detained as prisoners of conscience, and Amnesty International continues to call for the unconditional release of all four trade unionists as prisoners of conscience.

Ahmed Berramila was released on bail on 12 May 1997.
Please continue action outlined in previous update, but now calling for the
immediate and unconditional release of Rachid Ennajar, Monji Souab and Jilani
Hammami, and for Ahmed Berramila’s release to be made unconditional.
