Since the report (MDE 24/10/99) has gone to press, Amnesty International has learned that Doha ‘Ashur al-Askari and Ratib Jaber Sha‘bu were both released. Amnesty International reiterates its call that the four remaining prisoners of conscience should be immediately and unconditionally released.
