The three men named above were reportedly arrested in Khartoum on or around 11 May 1994. The reason for their detention and their whereabouts are unknown, but as members of the banned Sudan Communist Party, they are at serious risk of torture and ill-treatment. It is believed they may be prisoners of conscience.
