Mozambique: Amnesty International’s comments on the Draft Constitution of Mozambique

This brief memorandum contains Amnesty International’s concerns about selected provisions of the Draft Constitution which appear in their present form to be incompatible with international human rights obligations the country assumed including under the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The organization then makes useful recommendations to the Parliamentary ad hoc Commission on Constitutional Review.
