Thailand: Between a rock and a hard place

Thailand’s significant contribution to addressing regional and global refugee crises, the Thai government has frequently failed to fulfil its obligation towards those seeking protection from violence and human rights violations. “Between a Rock and a Hard Place” describes shortcomings in Thailand’s policies towards refugees and asylum-seekers and the Thai government’s recent violations of the principle of non-refoulement, which obliges states not to return anyone to a territory where they would be at risk of serious human rights violations.
