This list provides a breakdown of criminal proceedings against human rights defenders, and political and other activists in Cambodia in which prosecutorial or judicial action is understood to have taken place since the last general election in 2013. The information was collected from a number of sources, including the subjects of judicial action, non-governmental organizations, unions, lawyers, and media reports. The aim of this list is to demonstrate a broad pattern of intimidation and harassment. Some of the cases listed are further analysed in the report “Courts of Injustice: Suppressing Activism through the Criminal Justice System in Cambodia” (ASA 23/6059/2017).
