This open letter addressed to the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago urge him to protect Venezuelans who came to Trinidad and Tobago looking to re-build their lives in safety and to contribute meaningfully to the country. The 25 organizations that signed this letter urge him also to ensure Trinidad and Tobago complies with its nonrefoulement obligations, by protecting asylum seekers and others from deportation.
