Colombia: The Human Rights Situation in Colombia: Amnesty International’s written statement to the 28th session of the UN Human Rights Council (2-27 March 2015)

In this statement Amnesty International reiterates its support for the work of the High Commissioner’s Office in Colombia. Its monitoring role has been particularly important in exposing the abuses that have been the hallmark of the long-running armed conflict, and the Office will be instrumental in ensuring that respect for human rights, including the right of victims to truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-recurrence, are placed at the heart of the peace process. This statement presents an overview of Amnesty International’s concerns in Colombia.
