Amnesty International welcomes the report of the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, which emphasizes the need for States, the United Nations and civil societies to take a gender-sensitive approach to combatting arbitrary killings and realizing the right to life. This documents sets out some of Amnesty International's concerns and includes recommendations to the Human Rights Council.
