SURAN 27/92 - Russian Federation: Kazbek Alexandrovich Kokayev
Kazbek Kokayev was sentenced to death in 1990 for an armed attack on a militia base in Kursk in 1979, during which three militia men were killed. His appeal was rejected by June 1991 and he lodged a petition for clemency with President Gorbachev. The petition is now with President Yeltsin of the Russian Federation.
