Manal ‘Abd al-Qabel (f) and Bakr Badr: These individuals were sentenced to death on 1 March 1998 by the Kafr al-Sheikh criminal court, north of Cairo, after being found guilty of murder.Their sentences have now been passed to the Mufti, the highest religious authority in the country, for approval.
