Dmitry Rassokhin, an ethnic Russian, faces imminent execution after an appeal against his death sentence was turned down by the Supreme Court on 19 April 1993. He had been sentenced to death by the City Court of Tashkent on 20 July 1992 for the murder of two Uzbek brothers during a drunken brawl.
