Amnesty International joined Franciscans International and International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism to deliver a joint oral statement during the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights while countering terrorism at the Human Rights Council’s 40th session on 1 March 2019. In the statement Amnesty International endorsed the Special Rapporteur’s recommendation to institute a moratorium on the use of the Prevention of Terrorism Act and immediately repeal the Act.
