Sri Lanka: Open letter to Acting Minister of Health on the Violation of the Religious Rights of Muslims in Sri Lanka

Amnesty International writes to the Acting Minister of Health expressing its concern on the government policy of mandatory cremations of people who have died or are suspected as having died from COVID-19. This is in spite of guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), Government-appointed expert groups, and other expert bodies, sanctioning both cremations and burials for COVID-19 victims
