Bangladesh: Oral statement on the mid-term Universal Periodic Review

This oral statement at the 48th session of the UN Human Rights Council evaluates the progress on the recommendations made to Bangladesh in its previous UPR, in relation to protection of the right to freedom of expression; prohibition of torture and other ill-treatment; conditions of detention; investigations into allegations of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial executions; and protection of Rohingya refugees.
