United Kingdom: Failing children and young people in detention: Concerns regarding young offenders institutions

, Índice: EUR 45/004/2002

Amnesty International is concerned that the United Kingdom (UK) is failing to fulfil its international law obligations to protect the fundamental human rights of children and young people in young offenders institutions in England and Wales, and in particular their rights to life; not to be subjected to torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment; and to be treated with respect for the inherent dignity of the human person.
