Indonesia: Johan Teterissa and other Malukan prisoners of conscience cruelly held thousands of miles away from home

, Índice: ASA 21/4347/2016

On 29 June 2007 Johan Teterissa and 22 other men were arrested and subsequently jailed for taking part in a peaceful demonstration in Ambon, the capital city of Maluku province, eastern Indonesia. Amnesty International believes they should not have spent a single day in prison and calls on the Indonesian authorities to immediately and unconditionally release Johan Teterissa and all other prisoners of conscience in Indonesia.
