Indonesia: Open letter on the displaced Ahmadiyya community in Mataram, Lombok

, Índice: ASA 21/008/2010

In this open letter, Amnesty International expresses its concerns about 90 people, belonging to the Ahmadiyya community who have been living in temporary housing in Mataram, Lombok for four years. In 2006 they were forced to flee their homes after they were destroyed by mobs which attacked the community because of their religious beliefs. These internally displaced persons are currently living in inadequate conditions, lacking sufficient living space and essential services.
