The Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of the state of human rights globally, including analysis of 160 countries.With the release of the Annual Report, Amnesty International warned that international protection of human rights is in danger of unravelling as short-term national self-interest and draconian security crackdowns have led to a wholesale assault on basic freedoms and rights.
“Not only are our rights under threat, so are the laws and the system that protect them,” said Salil Shetty, Secretary General of Amnesty International.
